6 Month Preggie Comparison Shots

Ethan

Katie

We think Ethan's bump looks more basketball-ish than Katie's did. And even though my family thinks I look smaller this time, I think I look bigger. I wonder how much he'll weigh. Maybe I'll start a pool...

Pow-Pow-Power Wheels (Anyone else remember those comercials?)

Well, Pumpkin Wumpkin FINALLY finished opening her last gift on Sunday night. We had been trying to clear out boxes and rotate out some of the toys that don't get a lot of play before we opened this big gift from Grandma and Grandpa. She has got to be the most spoiled child I know. I guess that goes with the territory of being the first and only (at least until March) grandchild on both sides. I think it's hilarious that after all the times we tried to get her to rip the paper on Christmas day, she finally dug in and unwrapped a present.

Just making sure there's no other pieces in here...

A little live footage of the little one enjoying her gift. Sorry the picture is so shaky, it's hard to film while dodging landmines, baby castles, and random toys... all while laughing.

Christmas Morning!

Christmas morning we all woke up and had a quick breakfast. (We figured the days of waking up at the leisurely hour of 7 am on Christmas morning are numbered, so let's take advantage of it now. Plus, we thought we'd get some good pics with a happy, full-bellied little Wumpkin.) Here's a video of what Santa brought Katie.

Well, we had a little trouble getting Katie to open other gifts because she just wanted to be on the Climb & Slide Castle. It was all a bit overwhelming for her. So many presents, so little time.

Mommy and Daddy ended up opening most of Katie's gifts and handing them to her on the castle. At one point we took a break and put her down for a nap, feed her lunch, then started in on round two. We tried to get pictures of her with gifts from all relatives near and far, but it just didn't happen (sorry!) Here's some highlights...

Checkin' out all of my stocking stuffers.

Playing with my new Mega Blocks.

Putting my new ornament on the tree. (It's the one by my hand that looks like a snow globe and it has my name on it!)

Reading books from Great Grandma Sundal.

Whoo... taking a break!

Cleaning up a little with my new vacuum, Dusty.

Pushing my dollies around in their new play yard.

Rockin' out on my new puppy toy while playing my new guitar. Thanks Great Grandma Worrall and Grandma Sundal.

A purse, camera, book, and shoes, ... oh my!

Taking a break to do a little dancing.

This table and chairs set is the best! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Berry!

More Fun with Shoes on Christmas Eve

Okay, so I know we already have footage of Katie wearing Mommy's shoes around, but I jut love how adorable she is and coordinated she is getting. It's a bit repetitive, but it's just too cute not to post this one.

Christmas Eve

We had a good time playing and visiting with Grandpa Sundal for dinner. He gave me some special books that I just LOVE! Too bad we didn't get any pics of us reading them... Here I am playing with this super cute belt on one of my gifts from Auntie L and Uncle D. Aren't I stylish?!

Little Climber

These days, nothing is safe because I like to try and climb on top of the table every chance I get.

It's okay, Mommy. You take a break. I'll finish up here.

All finished! Aren't I a great helper?!

Blowing Kisses... Sort Of

Mommy's trying to teach me to blow kisses, but instead of my mouth I start with my head...

then I "blow it away" like this. Oh well. It makes her smile anyway.

Little Gearhead

This socket set is fascinating!

Thanks for teaching me all about it, Daddy! I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to help you with the vehicles.

Wrapping Presents

Today I sat with Mommy for almost 45 minutes while she wrapped Christmas presents! I supervised and explored and only climbed on top of the table once. I think I like Christmastime.

Darn It!

Mommy put this big gift in front of the tree, so now every time I want to steal an ornament I have to push it out of my way first. This is a problem because then she hears it and tells me 'No' before I can even decide which one to grab! Don't worry, though... I'll find a way.

All Bundled Up

On Monday Mommy wanted to enjoy the drizzly, cold weather so she bundled me up in my pretty pink jacket and we headed to the back yard. Don't I look like a little chub? This jacket was quite a deal I might add ($13, normally $28, Carter's brand, @Ross). And it kept me nice and warm while I played.

Reading Buddies

Here's me and my friend Sophie relaxing with some good books.

We both LOVE books, so we have a good time together.

Getting Festive

This weekend Mommy put up the Christmas tree and all of the indoor decorations. Here's me helping out with the tree lights.

Thanksgiving

I happened to be cutting my last 1st year molar on Thanksgiving Day, so I was a bit of a Mommy's Girl.

Grandpa Sundal came over to cheer me up and play.

Later on I practiced my new skill (climbing onto the couch unassisted) to go give Frank the Tank some hugs. He seems less than impressed that I can reach him now. I wonder why?

Here's my cutie outfit that was a gift from Great Grandma Worrall (and the shoes are from Grandma Berry.) Thank you very much to both grandmas!

Even though I really didn't eat very much dinner (because my teeth hurt) Mommy let me have some pumpkin pie for dessert and then I got a sugar high. Yeah! Thanksgiving is the best!

This is a little footage that shows off just how fast I'm getting. Again, Mommy doesn't know how to edit these videos so there's a little break in the action here.

1st Piggy Tails

This week Mommy finally got me to sit still long enough to do pig tails! I wasn't thrilled and later on I showed her by wiping macaroni and cheese all through them.

But... I redeemed myself by keeping baby Justin entertained while Mommy cleaned bottles and dishes. I am such a god helper and I know I'll be a good big sister when my brother arrives.

What's this doing here on my couch?

Purple-clad Thief

Before we met up with Grandpa at the park I spent a little time stealing toilet paper out of the bathroom cabinet. Mommy finally caught up with me.
P.S. Thanks for the super cute outfit, Auntie Laura!

At the Park with Grandpa

On Sunday I was a bit grumpy because I wasn't feeling my best.

Publish Post

But juice and crackers helped do the trick. Thanks for a fun time, Grandpa!

Shopping for Ethan

Let's see what Mommy picked out for my little brother.

These are nice, but why are they blue? Aren't all clothes supposed to be pink?

Good job Mom. But next time take me with you. You know how I love to shop.

1st Book Reading @ Barnes & Noble

Today Mommy took me (along with Sophie) to listen to two Rainbow Fish stories at the bookstore.

I was a bit more interested in my own book than the one being read, but that's okay. We still had fun.

And we even got to play at the train table while we were there! What a good day! She says we'll get to do it again soon.
