Diaper Butts

Here we are showing off our bums (bumGenius diapers that is.) A big thank you to Great Grandma Worrall, Grandma Sundal, Grandpa Sundal, Grandma and Grandpa Berry, and Great Aunt Linda for contributing to the cloth diaper fund. They're really comfy and and colorful, too.

This was Mommy's failed attempt at an adorable brother/ sister photo op. I now have a whole new appreciation for the photographers at JC Penny's who take pictures of children all day long.

We took a little time to relax on the couch afterwards. Ethan had a meltdown. And Katie tried to comfort him, but he was just too tired.

So the Little Mommy helped out while Mommy cleaned everything up and got Ethan ready for a nap. Thank goodness she's learned to gently give him the pacifier instead of shoving it into his mouth. She's becoming quite the helper.

Thank You Cards

Well, this is embarassing...Katie found half finished thank you cards to my students and coworkers at Gilbert El from a year ago (May 2009.) She decided to finish them for me.

During the process she realized that her pen was slightly misshapen. It seems she was not the only one to find this bag that I had all but forgotten. Thanks, Frank the Tank.

Now she's realized that I'm aware of what she's gotten into.

What a stinker!

Big Bib

I love that this bib is as long as his entire torso! Debbie, can you thank your aunt for me?

1 Month Check Up

Well, it's no surprise that the little guy is growing like a weed. We had an appointment yesterday and here's the latest stats...
Weight: 11 lb 8oz, 90%
Length: 22 1/2 in, 75%
Head Circumference: 14 1/2 in, 25%

Bath Time Drama

Last night Mommy gave Ethan a bath (although this picture is from his first bath in his baby tub because we needed a visual.) He was happy the whole time- until his hair was washed. Then he peed all over Mommy's arm and in the bathtub. When I pulled him out to clean him off with clean water, he pooped on his towel. Then (for good measure) he spit up all over Mommy and himself and had to be rinsed off again. Wow. What an ordeal! Mommy feels like a rookie.

Crawling With Dolly

Most annoying dolly ever... but Little K loves it. She carries it with her everywhere, puts it in the bouncer seat and the swing, and even wants to sleep with it.

Katie Goes to Kindergarten

On Friday we went to Gilbert El. to show off Ethan to all of Mommy's friends.
Here we are in Mrs. G.'s class.

Katie jumped right into Fun Friday time.

And she even made some new friends, too.
(No pictures of Ethan- He slept the whole time while he was being passed around like a sack of potatoes. Lots of fun.)

All Swaddled Up

And so peaceful.

Grumpy Baby

I wish my mom would just pick me up! I don't want to have my picture taken right now!

My Car Seat

I only like to be in my car seat if I'm not buckled in or if the car is moving. I'm picky like that.

Ways to Say Brother by Katie

"Bruver, Bubu, and Bother"

Peter Rabbit

Yesterday we got to meet Peter Rabbit! As soon as he arrived at story time Katie stood up and tried to go over to him. (Mommy had to hold her back. ) She had to settle for smiling and pointing at him until after the stories were over. (And even though her hand is covering her face she IS smiling. In fact, she put her arms up for him to hold her and didn't want to leave him behind once our turn was over. So cute!) Ethan napped almost the entire time in his new Moby wrap.

Packin' on the Pounds

He looks bigger every day. And now we have the beginnings of a double chin. Good job, Ethan!

Awww...

...so cute.

Just Like Daddy

Playing dress up in Daddy's clothes.

Poor Minnie Caren

Don't know why, but Katie is constantly pulling this doll's diaper down/off and leaving her lying around the house butt up. Maybe she likes the writing, who knows. She's also quite skilled at taking off her own diaper now (both cloth and disposable.) Which will be great for potty training, but not so great right now when she decides to run free because it's bugging her. Ugggh!

Bye Bye, Stump!

Ethan's a big boy now!

Hi, Great Aunt Linda

Thanks so much for this cutie pie dress! I love it!

Big & Little

Here's Katie modeling her 'Big Sister' shirt...

...and Ethan modeling his 'Little Brother' shirt.

Still Deciding....

who Ethan looks like. One thing's for sure- as he's losing his utero skin and acquiring some chub, he's looking a little more like Katie did at this age. Except for the nose.

Easter Fun

The Easter Bunny came to town and left these for Ethan and Katie.

Here's Little K not posing for the camera...

and later totally hammin' it up!

Look at this tuckered out baby boy in his Easter attire. So precious.

Here's Katie on her first Easter Egg Hunt. Notice how Frank the Tank got to an egg before we did. And she 's looking over at the doggy land mine we were making sure to avoid. (I photo shopped it out of the picture so as not to offend.)

She liked studying them once they were in her basket.

We found them all! (Ethan was cheering us on from the porch.)

It didn't take long for her to figure out what to do without Mommy and Daddy's help. She cracked every one of them as she ever so delicately (yeah- right) dropped them in the basket. So cute!

Mommy and Ethan

One of the few pictures I have of the two of us because I'm usually the one behind the camera. Doesn't he look like Katie did at this age?

Congratulations, Arezu!

Arezu was the Baby Pool winner! Her guess was closest...

7 lb, 12 oz on March 21st @ 2 pm.

Good work, friend!

Ethan's 1 week Birthday

Last Tuesday Mommy, Daddy, and Katie sang 'Happy Birthday' to Ethan. He was too tuckered out to wake up though.

So Katie graciously helped eat up his homemade Oreo cake.

Check Ups

A week ago (Monday the 29th- yes, I'm a bit behind on the posts) Mommy and Daddy took "the kids" (so weird!) to the doctor for checkups.

Here's Ethan getting weighed. He did great! And he even refrained from peeing everywhere while his diaper was off.

Height: 20 1/4 in
Weight: 7 lb 10 oz
Head Circumference: 13 1/2 in

Here's the big sister after she got her shot. This was the first time she didn't cry! What a big girl!

Height: 33 3/4 in, 95%
Weight: 30.2 lb, 97%
Head Circumference: 18 3/4 in, 75%

When we were all finished with Dr. Wallace we went outside to play!

Welcome Home, Ethan

Here's just a few of the many pictures we took on the day Ethan came home from the hospital- March 25th.

First car ride home. (He looks so tiny in that car seat, doesn't he?!)

Sleeping the afternoon away.

Meeting Big Sister. She thinks he's just the best thing ever! (You can tell how excited she is by her tongue sticking out of her mouth.)

First family photo, compliments of Grandpa Berry.

Visiting with The CA Grandparents

reading stories before bedtime (I was too tired to smile.)

having a picnic at Freestone Park

eating Ravioli-O's (by the way, Grandma- Mommy has mostly gotten the stains out of this outfit, so you can stop feeling bad about it. )

walking with Grandma

(Poor Grandpa is always behind the camera. Next time we'll make sure to get you in some pictures instead of having you take them all.)

(Also, a big thank you to you both for helping Mommy and Daddy so much while you were here!)

More Fun with Tadoodles

Why color on the paper when I can eat them?
