"Dank yew, Mama." (She says it every time I say thank you to her and sometimes just because. And I think it's so funny that she refers to me as 'Mama' because I call myself 'Mommy.')

Potty Success

Katie actually made it in the potty yesterday! (After a quick demo from Mommy.) Hooray! She didn't want to sit on the potty after she realized there was something in there. Hence the lack of excitement on her face. So funny. This is turning out to be more of an adventure than I though it would be.

3 Months Old

On Wednesday Ethan turned 3 months old!

He's growing up so fast! Mommy can't believe it.

Father's Day Gift

Way back in May I had the bright idea to surprise Travis with some professional pics of the kids for Father's day. At the time I was still watching Sophie, Katie was having a hard time sharing me, and Ethan had just barely started sleeping through the night. Oh, and we had just decided to put the house up for sale. Needless to say, this was a poorly timed and ambitious idea. It was total chaos and the kids didn't want to cooperate at all. Especially Ethan. He didn't want to take a nap and was soooo cranky. Chandra did a great job capturing their little personalities in spite of all that. She even came back a second day. I was very frustrated. But, it was worth all the trouble. These are just a few of my favorites.

Katie Tries the Potty

Here she is this morning, reading her new Mickey books and sitting on the potty. We've been trying, but the closest we've come to going in the potty is going next to the potty. Number one and number two. Oh the joy.

These are Katie's first big girl underwear. Daddy says she looks like she's 70 years old. Mommy doesn't mind because they're waterproof. Yeah for Katie!

Yesterday Mommy painted my toenails for the first time. Wow! these toes sure are pretty with pink polish on them!

I realize my children are people and not little dolls, but it sure is fun to dress them up and take pictures! Love this little tiger outfit from Grandma Jody. We shopped for it when he was still cookin'.

Memorial Day

On Monday we had planned to go swimming with Auntie Laura, but Katie puked all over the bathroom floor. We decided to stay home. Thankfully, an extra nap and taking it easy healed the little wumpkin because by late afternoon she was back to her little self.

We figured we'd make good use of the new water socks and have some fun in the sprinklers.

She had mixed feelings about getting wet.

Ethan was a pretty good sport about it all and even went down a slide for the first time.
