Ethan's 1st Birthday Party

Ethan's race car party was so much fun!

We celebrated at a park in Grandma's neighborhood on March 13th.

Lots of friends and family were there.

Including Great Aunt Linda all the way from Phili.

Everyone had fun playing.

Cousin Kiera even woke up for awhile to join GG in the festivites.

Ethan even got to play with one of Grandma Sundal's gifts before the presents were opened.

That water table was a hit! Thanks, Grandma! The birthday boy spent most of his party splashing and playing with boats.

And Ethan got lots of Birthday Huggers.

Daddy manned the grill.

While everyone chatted...

...and held baby cousin...

...and chased Ethan around.

After a yummy lunch...

...it was time for cake!

Mmmm.

Ethan was not so sure about everyone singing to him.

But then he realized the cake was for him.

A little hesitant at first.

It was the first time he had ever tasted cake.

Look at that little man.

Next, Ethan opened his presents.

What a silly little guy.

He got the hang of it.

Then it was time to play some more!

Ethan focused on his very first dump truck.

Beep beep.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

It was/is highly coveted by all.

Thank you so much to all our friends and family that helped Ethan celebrate his very special birthday!

We love ya all!

What a Bad Auntie

How has my niece been on Earth for 10 weeks and I have not posted more than one picture?! Guess I'll have to make up for lost time here...

Here's the little miss on the day of her birth, January 21st. (Technically the day after because it was the middle of the night.) I was so excited to be the first to hold her. Somehow I made it there before any of the other family. I cried, of course. Big shocker.

I know I'll probably get yelled at for posting this picture but I love it. Two tired new parents with the tiniest little baby. (She was 4 lb, 12oz.)

Fast forward a little over 3 weeks and here's the little princess on Feb 13th.

This Auntie just can't get enough of Kiera!

Look at those tiny hands!

What a doll.

I love this picture of my sister and niece. I know the color isn't that great and you can't really see either of them very well, but there's just something about it. (This was Feb. 21st, the first time the cousins all got together for lunch and the park. Sorry no pics of the kids together...too bust making sure Katie and Ethan didn't break Kiera to get any pics of them together.)

And quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. Pink and purple to the max! Words can't describe how much this sight makes my heart sing. Katie spent our entire visit on this day (March 3rd) looking at her and touching her little feet, saying things like, "She's so cute!" and "Oh look at her little feet!" It is too cute how excited Katie is about her little cousin. Ethan is excited about her, too. Just in a rough-and-tumble-I-wanna-grab-your-head-and-yank-on-your-arm kinda way.

St. Patrick's Day 2011

A leprechaun came to our house and left us some green necklaces and pins (not pictured)...

We went to lunch with The Aunts and came home to play with Grandma.

For dinner Mommy made us a green meal. Peas, green penne and cheese, green apples, and even green milk!

It was yummy!

Mommy is still working on posting pictures from Ethan's 1st birthday party...
Hopefully soon.

This is So COOL!

This weekend we washed our new van for the first time. Isn't she a beaut? Still trying to come up with the perfect name for her...

Mommy made sure everyone was in the proper attire and had adequate nourishment while Daddy gathered the materials.

For the first 15 minutes we were out there all Katie kept saying was, "This is so cool!"

Ethan supervised, of course.

On a side note...Daddy said to Mommy with a smile (while she was getting everyone ready), "I love how washing the vehicle is a big event for you." Gee, ya think? Spoken like a man who's never had the pleasure of getting two little ones ready on his own. Silly Daddy.

Little Rockstar

Ethan is enjoying his first pair of "big boy jammies." While he looks pretty cute in them, Mommy is not ready to let go of the footie jammies.

Fun and Funky PJ's

Backwards, butchered jammies to keep Little K from removing her night-night diaper (and it's contents- yuck!). She's all about 'em, too.

Building and Talking

These Mega blocks sure do get a lot of use. Sometimes Katie practices sharing and playing with them. Sometimes.

And this phone gets a lotta love, too. The little man even holds it up to his ear as he waddles around.
