Little Picasso

Earlier today Mommy and Daddy gave me my first set of markers! They're called tadoodles and they are fun to play with.You can bang them on the table and this colored liquid stuff makes marks on everything it touches. Wow. Pretty neat.

Madeline

Yesterday Katie met her first character. We took Sophie to B&N with us for story time again and the main character of the story was Madeline. Katie thought "she" was the best thing ever and kept waving and smiling during the story. Sophie cried when she first saw her, but then decided she was okay as long as she didn't get too close. So funny.

Driving is a piece of cake. I can even do it while I hold my Dolly.

New Look and Name For Pumpkin Wumpkin

Alright, there's just no way that I am going to try and keep up with two blogs when Ethan comes, so this is officially our family's blog now, not just Katie's. The web address isn't changing, but the title and background are. I haven't decided to what yet. I'll be experimenting.

(Almost) 1 Year Ago

Just looking through the old videos and found this one, dated 1-24-09. I can't believe how different she is now! And it's so funny that this time last year we had NO idea that, in a year, we'd be counting down the weeks until Baby # 2's arrival.

It's Here...

The Graco DuoGlider LX Stroller has arrived! No one is more excited than Mommy. Although Katie was pretty stoked. Sophie would have helped model it, but she was still finishing lunch.

Tuckered Out

Last Friday we went to Barnes and Noble again for story time. The girls had a blast and did a great job of listening and playing. They sure made a lot of fans, too. I must have been asked 5 times if they were twins and complimented twice as much on how adorable they are. (I told them I'd pass that on to Sophie's family.) And this was the result of a morning of reading, eating, playing, and lots of walking around. You can imagine just how fun it was trying to get them out of the truck with my big belly, without waking them up. Needless to say, I failed.

A Righty or a Lefty?

I always hold the utensil in my right hand, but when I start getting impatient I use my free hand (which is my left) to shovel it in. Mommy's guess is a righty. Time will tell.

Katie and Sophie Playing in the Hallway

I think Katie really missed having a fellow baby to play with over the holiday break! She and Sophie were having the best time playing ball in the hallway this morning. I (of course) missed some action while I was locating the camera and switching from still mode to live action mode, but I think I captured some of the fun. I have no idea how Justin slept through it all. (He was in the office/ spare room.) Good thing, too because the girls were having so much fun I didn't have the heart to try to relocate them.

"Helping" Mommy Redecorate

Today Mommy is starting the task of making my room into a room suitable for both Ethan and I. We are taking down the beautiful butterfly wallpaper border (which almost made Mommy cry) , cleaning the walls and baseboards, and taping off the baseboards. Hopefully by the end of the week we'll have the pink and teal stripes painted over with blue and green. I kept stealing the sponge, so Mommy gave me my own. And if you're wondering why I'm sitting naked on a towel, it's because I was running around all excited and I spilled the bowl of soapy water all over me and the carpet by the door. Mommy was thrilled. Home improvement is fun stuff, I tell you!
