First "Real" Haircut

Well, Mommy gave in and Katie went to get her 1st haircut on Thursday. Awhile back Mommy snipped an uneven strand, but that was ages (a year and a half?) ago. Daddy insisted that it needed to be evened out. After many tears and a lot of resistance (from Mommy) we went over to Cool Cuts for Kids by our house.

It was a blast. We got to watch a movie while we played with trains in the waiting area.

And Katie got to sit in a very big fire truck chair.

 Before.

As you can see, Katie was really excited to watch Rapunzel. (Tangled, but we call it Rapunzel.)

We decided on just cleaning it up and long layers in the back to help it lay better. And not look like a clown fro. And obviously no bangs.

 The first snip.

 Almost finished...

 Almost finished...

 There. How beautiful!

Tadaaaa! What a big girl now. And she even got some hair products of her very own that Mommy is in love with. A fantastic curl calmer and detangler by Little Sprout.

Tadoodles for E

Look what Mommy got for me!

I guess she figured that having Grandma here as backup was a good idea for my first time coloring with markers.

It was pretty fun. And they didn't taste too bad, either.

Cool Dog

One of Katie's prizes for going poopy on the potty (still a work in progress with number twos) was this great doggy hat. See how thrilled she was that Ethan was playing with it and getting all the attention?

Not a Baby Anymore

Nope this little guy is allllllll toddler now. For the good and the bad. How is he 14 months old already? That's almost 18 months, which is almost 2 YEARS(!), which is practically grown up.

Matching Cousins

Kisses for Cousin.

"She's so hungry."

Learning how to hold the bottle just right.

I had a blast holding my little cousin in our matching dresses. She's the best cousin ever. I think it's so fun to kiss her and talk to her and grab her little piggy toes. Mommy calls me her bodyguard because I am always looking out for her and making sure Ethan is being gentle with her. If he grabs her hand I say, "That's a little too rough." And I put my arm out between them to protect Little Cuz.

P.S. Look at the size of my feet these days. Geez. I am a giant.

Pirates

A couple of weeks ago (woops-once again Mommy is behind) the story at story time was "Shiver Me Letters: A Pirate's ABC's." Here we are paying close attention. (Riiiiiiiiiiiight.)

The best part was the craft. We got cloth headbands and the supplies to make a hook and an eyepatch.

Big Sister even got a complimentary frozen lemonade. Yummy.

It wasn't long before Little E didn't want to be one-eyed anymore.

We sure did a good job.

All the way home, from the back of thee van, Mommy heard, "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr." It was pretty cute.
